To observe the feedback of the proportional valve, the recorded results were used to create a chart of voltage vs inches. Objective: Have a thorough understanding of the proportional DCV's operation. Determining the roles played by several crucial system components. Establish the relation between voltage and piston travel distance in inches; a graph showing the relationship between the measured data was created. Procedure: 1. Connect a hose to the pressure port of the manifold to restrict the flow meter's intake. 2. Connect a hose from the flow meter's output to the proportional valve's P port. 3. Attach a hose to the return port of the manifold block and connect it to the T port of the proportional valve. 4. Connect the cap end of the cylinder with the feedback transducer to the proportional valve's B port. 5. The rod end of the cylinder needs to be attached with a hose from the proportional valve's A port. 6. Switch on the hydraulic system and set the pressure to 500 psi. 7. The pump's start/stop controls are close to the Prop V selector switch. As the amps are gradually increased, the motor's flow and speed are then independently recorded in the table. 8. Turn the potentiometer until the cylinder moves. Pull back the cylinder completely. 9. After extending the cylinder in 12-inch increments, record the CMD/Volts and FDBK/Volts. 10. After retracting the cylinder by 12 increments, record the CMD/Volts and FDBK/Volts. Equipment: • Tachometer & flowmeter • Wires • Connecting hoses • Proportional DCV

Conclusion: In this experiment, a graph was used to examine the proportional directional control valve's feedback (PDCV). The table separately logs the voltage and piston distance in inches as the resistance is incrementally increased. The collected data is used to generate a graph that
