Lab 2 - Tutorial for LabVIEW Programming by Kurt VanLente November 30, 2020 For Grand Valley State University Padnos School of Engineering EGR 345 Purpose/Objective: To learn and understand the basics of the LabVIEW program, which include wire diagram programming, data analysis, data input from outside source, and data output to outside source. Theory: To obtain the greatest computing versatility and efficiency we need to write computer programs. But, traditional programming languages are not well suited to designing user interfaces and dealing with data flows. Most computer programs are written with lines of program and complied to execute. LabVIEW allows you to “write” programs using graphical symbols. This graphical programming approach allows systems to be designed by connecting the symbols with lines (wires), an example is Fig 1.1 Fig 1.1 Example LabVIEW program/wire diagram 100 01 W avefo rm C hart Equipment/Materials: LabVIEW program CADET trainer Digital Multimeter Interface cable PC w/ PCI – 1200 DAQ card 1
