The following disclosure is applicable to the following face-to-face licensure programs offered within the College of Health and Human Sciences at Purdue University West Lafayette: Doctor of Audiology (AuD), Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology (MS-SLP) The above programs at Purdue University are accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA), and therefore meet the educational requirements for a majority of the U.S. states and territories. Notable exceptions include: • Florida: Requires a course on HIV and acquired immune deficiency syndrome • Georgia: Recency of study must be demonstrated via two Continuing Education Units (CEUs) within two years preceding application • Puerto Rico: Meets all educational requirements but has a residency requirement • U.S. Virgin Islands: Practitioners must obtain a business license from the Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs • Washington: Completion of four clock hours in AIDS education and training For more information on state specific requirements students should consult this list of state-by-state regulations created by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Please note that jurisdiction licensure or certification requirements may be affected by other factors such as teaching experience, testing requirements, and coursework.
