Yes. I downloaded the free trial of “Letter Machine” which is a part of Bailey’s Book House. This activity allowed the students to select a letter using the keyboard on the computer screen. When they chose a letter, a sentence using that letter would appear on the screen with an animated picture. For “T”, there was the sentence, “Thomas the tiger tiptoed to town”. This seemed like a fun activity for younger students to help them with recognition of letters and sounds. #3 Software title and version Tessellation Exploration Grade Level 4-8 Publisher Scholastic: Tom Snyder Productions Overall description This powerful manipulative tool helps students understand geometric principles as they experiment with tessellations. Students choose a basic shape, then explore what happens when they apply geometric transformations-slides, turns, flips, and glides-to create a tessellation. They can then watch as their creation animates on the screen, reinforcing transformational geometry concepts. The program also includes step-by-step activities that help students create tessellations of increasing complexity Students create, animate, and print 33 types of tessellations, featuring translations, rotations, reflections, and glide reflections, and slides, turns, flips, and glides Drawing tools and 100 colorful stamps make it easy for students to customize their tessellations In-depth classroom lessons teach the geometry of tessellations - including transformations, angles, and shapes
