All kinds of ideas are offered by subject matter and topics. B. Assessment Templates for Teaching Website: http://edtech.kennesaw.edu/intech/templatesresources.htm This has many great templates for teachers to use in the classroom. It has Venn diagrams, door signs, and more. D. The worksheets go into a little more depth than most of the website. F. Also helps children have fun with reading by offering stories, games, videos and music. The games and information on this web-site is very helpful and easy to find. The stories are entertaining and easy to follow. Website: www.gamequarium.com/readquarium/sightgames.html There are many games, as well as books to help with reading. This site is also useful to teachers and parents. Website: www.shelsilverstein.com Interactive website with teacher’s poem corner, kids’ games, poems section, and an author section. The section on Shel’s books actually has animation while Shel is reading to you. Website: www.poetry4kids.com This website is wonderful to get children interested in poetry. This site has poetry games and poems to just read. This site is a great tool to get children interested in writing their own poetry. There are games set up for seasons and holidays such as a recycling game for Earth Day and a Pumpkin Picking game for Fall. Parents can access free activity sheets for the areas their child has trouble with and teachers have ideas for lesson plans and handouts. The students have the option to play games, listen to a read aloud, or sing along, all while learning to read.
