Download Circuit Analysis Lab (ENGR 262L) - Measuring DC Voltages & Currents (Lab #1, Exp #1) - Pro and more Lab Reports Electrical Circuit Analysis in PDF only on Docsity! Circuit Analysis Lab (ENGR 262L) Lab #1 (Exp #1): Measuring DC Voltages & Currents (Tsividis, pp. 14-18) Preparation: For background, read N&R pp. 3-14 (1.2-1.5), esp. on voltage & current Read “Good Lab Practices and Other Useful Hints” (Tsividis, pp. 1-10) Read “Ground Connections” (Tsividis, pp. 11-13) Lab Partners: Pick a lab partner and work together at one lab station. Equipment (each lab station): Digital Multimeter (DMM) [Extech model 430] Power Supply (PS) [Topward 6303D] Plexiglas Component Board with SPST switch, resistor (X), unknown (Y) Connecting Wires Objectives: 1. As stated in Tsividis, p. 14 2. Become familiar with equipment available in Messiah College Engineering Lab to Supply and measure DC voltage and current Procedure: Follow all steps (1-8) as stated in Tsividis, pp. 14-18 Lab Reports: Submit one report per student on this lab, by the end of the lab period. Use Mead Composition notebook (with 5 squares per inch graph paper). Please reserve the first two pages of this notebook as a Table of Contents! Thus, begin your report for Experiment #1 on page 3. Include all parts of report as indicated below, in Lab Report Format. The report may be handwritten, but must be neat and legible. Lab Report Format (for Experiment #1): 2 pts Heading: Lab #, Title, Date Author’s Full Name (printed), roles Partner’s Full Name (printed), roles (Sample roles: wrote report, read procedure, plotted data, made measurements, recorded data, drew diagrams, wired circuits, did calculations, answered questions, etc.) 2 pts Objectives: state as indicated above 1 pt Diagrams: state “see Tsividis, pp. 15-18, Figures 1-4” 1 pt Equipment: state from list above, but indicate only models actually used 4 pts Raw Data: record the specified data in steps 2-4, 6-8 of the procedure 4 pts Table/Plot: neat, well-labeled table & plot for step 8 of procedure 4 pts Questions: provide complete answers to the questions indicated in steps 2, 3 and 7 of the procedure 2 pts Summary: summarize what you learned in at least two sentences, but no more than one paragraph.
