Script for Methodology and more Nirmal Prasad Panta We will be completing our project in 3 phases. In the first phase ’Transport’, we will begin by designing our AGV while simultaneously working on ROS2 humble setup in Linux for control of our AGV. The fabrication will begin after the completion of design. The controls for the AGV, required sensors and other hardwares will be integrated as soon as the fabrication is completed. After the testing, we will work on the second phase: Improvement on transport. This involves deploying SLAM for localization, navigation and obstacle avoidance.Then in the third phase: Functionality to transport, we will integrate computer vision using fidu- cial markers such as ArUco for detecting and handling the material required So at the end of this project we expect to have designed and fabricated an AGV, improved upon the AGV by using SLAM and integrated computer vision for material handling. We have estimated the base cost of our project to be around 31000. The items to be pledged show in the table will be borrowed from our alumni, robotics club, and the department. As shown in the chart, we plan to complete our phase I within Aug . This will pro- vide us with a working product with which we can implore industries or warehouses for setting up SLAM and CV and testing them in an actual environment during and after our internship.
