The way that we act, speak, and think are all individual to us and have roots in our internal value system. These values are formed based on the experiences we have and then placed into a hierarchy based on different categories. To make up our individual hierarchy the instrumental and terminal values are taken into consideration. Out of the 18 instrumental values my top three were capable, intellectual, and logical. These three values align with the mind aspect of the values hierarchy because they all relate to being knowledgeable and wise. When looking at an approach to leadership these three values can be very helpful in their own ways. When leading a group of people, it is always important that you are capable of handling your position and guiding other to be capable in their positions as well. Second from a leadership perspective it is beneficial for everyone to have a leader who is intellectual and knowledgeable in the area that they are leading people in. Lastly, having a logical leader helps in many areas. When a problem arises, it is helpful to lean on someone who will take a logical approach to fixing the situation. For terminal values my top three were salvation, health, and family security. These fit within the values hierarchy in the vitality and holy categories. I think that these three values
