MODERN DISCIPLES Aragones Mediator INFP-T According to the Myers-Briggs Personality Test, I am a “Mediator” and a INFP- T(Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling, Prospective-Turbulent). A mediator is a person that can be unassuming and quiet but we live our lives vibrantly and passionately. Mediators love to daydream and make up stories and events in their minds because they are very imaginative and creative. Mediators are also known for being very sensitive, of the surroundings, of the people and especially very sensitive of emotions. When other people come to us for help, we are inclined to listen to these people and eventually help them. We also like to understand the people around us because of our curiosity of the human nature. Mediators are also known because of their great empathy. We tend to care too much about everything and this may be considered one of our greatest characteristics but it is also become somewhat of a burden. We tend to shoulder every problem in the world and because of this we become vulnerable. Most known mediators are poets, artists, actors and writers because mediators are expressive of their thoughts and emotions and they will really grab any opportunity to be expressive. And because of our fondness to daydream and imagine things, we tend to make these dreams and imaginations into reality by working very hard on it. Based on my result these can help in whole person education. For example Introverts(IN) in a class will most likely enjoy just listening to a lecture or discussion and would rather be alone than being in a group during activities and introverts may sometimes perform poorly in discussions due to lack of time anticipating discussion questions. Being Intuitive in education means that students will recognize meaning that will go beyond the information and they like to think about the “big picture” and they will try to grasp the overall relationship between concepts. Intuitive students dislike being forced to understand concepts and meanings. Next scale is on how students make decisions. Mine is based on feeling. Students that decide based on their feelings tend to think with their hearts instead of their heads and when learning something, these feeling- students like to know how the knowledge or material will be beneficial to human kind and how it will be applied in the real world and they also take criticism very personally. And lastly, prospective students like a learning environment that is open to change and exploration. And just like what the article stated, we prospective students do not learn well in structured environment and tend to postpone doing tasks and learning because we do not like and enjoy the learning environment. Prospective students work well with self- paced learning. These results of mine will help the educator better understand me and my fellow students. This can also help on why the student is behaving the way he/she is behaving inside the classroom and also to understand the student’s learning patterns and what is the highs and lows of the student while learning. These can greatly help both the student and the educator and thus improve whole person education of the institution. Bullecer "The Protagonist" (ENFJ-T) My personality type is the protagonist which possesses the Extraverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Judging personality traits. Having this personality enables me to know how others are feeling just by looking at them, believe in karma, actively volunteer, defend someone who is being bullied, and consider myself spiritual. I agree that this personality describes me because I love helping others in any way I can and I believe that I have strong ideas and values that I hold onto in my daily life. I like to achieve my goals by backing my perspective with such creative energy. I also find joy in guiding other people to work together to improve ourselves as well as our community. However, being a Protagonist also makes me vulnerable to another snare wherein if I get too caught up in another person's plight, I tend to have emotional hypochondria and see other people's problems in myself. It also says that "Protagonists are genuine, caring people who talk the talk and walk the walk, and nothing makes them happier than leading the charge, uniting and motivating their team with infectious enthusiasm." and I couldn't agree more with this. Knowing my personality type enlightens me about myself and motivates me to learn more about whole person education. Calaycay INTJ-T= Architect, turbulent This personality type is one who is introverted, intuitive, thinking, and judging but who is turbulent as well. These are the kind of people who are rational and overly analytical. Both great dreamers and pessimists, relying on sheer willpower and intelligence, questioning everything along the way, a pursuit of knowledge if you will, playing life like a game of chess. However, at the cost of social prowess and the battle with emotional chaos, having such a personality is like dealing with a double-edged sword. From my readings, many INTJs are mostly only successful when assertive as their intelligence and quick-wittiness are head strong while the turbulent ones are those who suffer from INTJ weaknesses. Personally, I find this ominously true to who I am. I have the capacity to be intelligent and well rounded with my information, to use my skepticism and creativity to make things or solve problems. However, the ideal version of the architect is not me and I fall into the turbulent type where the loss of social prowess and emotional chaos overpowers any strengths at my disposal. It is true that I have not been socially adept my entire life, I’ve had to deal with expectations from my parents, and even my romance is affected to the point where I disregard emotion in favor of tactics. Perhaps, I can even be manipulative, especially in very dire situations but often avoid conflict as a first priority. On the nicer side things, it did explain my passion for arts, crafts, and electronics which are pursuits that has given meaning to my life through my own accord and not by anyone else. flexible. With this learning style, it also helps me understand myself more and where I am capable of. But even though this is the result, I would still strive myself on learning how to become a whole person. Saplot Logician Personality INTP Everyone has their own way of dealing the lives, and how to perceive things and they fully understand the concept and to receive anonymous things surrounds us. The Myers- Briggs Personality is one of the tests that categories into 4 sets: Introversion/Extraversion, Sensing/Intuition, Thinking/Feeling, Judging/Perceiving. These four categories help in better understand the individuals in dealing them in terms of what is their preference in gaining knowledge, and how to retain their knowledge and how their unique character further build their capability in molding them to become a better person. From the personality test I get INFP: The Mediator (Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling, Perceive). I prefer to work alone and interested in having a quiet learning environment. Intuitive in a sense that I am open to any opinion. I am not only grounded in what I believe, but I also consider learning and accept everyone's belief. Feeling, where I value harmony and cooperation despite of prefer working alone. Perceiving student who enjoys discussion-oriented classroom. Based on the personality test, it really helps the individual to fully understand itself and to re-connect it to itself to become a holistic person where he/she developed his/her personality to become an efficient person. Through the process of knowing yourself, you allow yourself to be more grounded in your principles and committing a sense of responsibility to itself in building a well-rounded person. Sira INFJ-T Usually referred to as the “Advocate” or the “Idealist” , being introverted, intuitive, feeling and judging are the characteristics of people with INFJ personalities. They are said to be reserved but highly sensitive to how others feel. I personally think this personality describes me well because I am very empathetic towards others and usually hold back in meeting new people but I form strong and meaningful connections with them . I am also very intuitive and i am usually lead by my emotions and trust my “gut feeling” a lot. Woo ENFJ-A / ENFJ-T - PROTAGONIST I am deeply fascinated with the result for a reason that the outcome of the result depicted really described my personality as a person in the community and when I’m at home. It is further explained that protagonists are the people who are natural-born leaders. With that, I’ll take full responsibility of the result, because it is somehow accurate in a way that I was an SSG Officer for 10 consecutive years since I was in Elementary up to Senior High School. Though I might have laid low in my College years, but deep inside my heart, the spice is still alive! I was the school President/Governor when I was in elementary, junior high school, and my 2 challenging years in senior high school. I was and will always be passionate with what I love -leading. Moreover, being a leader takes risks. Yes, I did took a lot. During my reign, those years were not smooth. I have encountered a lot of challenges which includes confronting my very own professors. Yes, there was a commotion. I am the type of protagonist who always stand for what is right no matter what it takes. I am a kind of friend who speaks up for those voices that aren’t heard. I want not just equality, but also equity. Furthermore, establishing a tough/strong image is not just my forte. I can be very emotional, too! I suffer a lot from my rampant anxieties almost every night. Yep, it always strikes in the middle of the night. But as a protagonist, I conquered all those dark shadows. I firmly believe that if I’d be too weak in dealing with my own problems, how can I help the people that surrounds me and the weak who needs my help? I cannot be weak, I have to stand for them. Honestly speaking, I am an outspoken and fearless person. As long as I know that I’m on the right path, I will never be afraid of the consequences. As long as I’m the leader, I will never hesitate to protect them no matter what. Why? In order to be an effective leader, you have to believe and listen to them. Communication cannot be called one without hearing the side of the other party. Henceforth, I have to motivate myself and the people around me to bring these ideas together. I know, trust can’t be returned at all times. But with what I have mentioned above, a leader should be a risk-taker. Trusting the people is the risk I’m willing to take. Receiving negative feedbacks might not do me any good, but it’ll surely give me life lessons. These life learnings are the things that a leader must possess.
