Phase Phase describes the position of a wave/signal relative to time zero Phase Modulation In Phase modulation, the phase of the carrier signal is altered according to the low frequency of the message signal, whereas, frequency and amplitude remain the same. Modem (Modulator-Demodulator) A modem – a portmanteau of "modulator-demodulator" – is a hardware device that converts data into a format suitable for a transmission medium so that it can be transmitted from one computer to another.
