This test can help to address various personality issues. It is a test that can be used to major a person’s most important personality characteristics ● ABOUT SUBJECT Name – Jatin Verma Age – 22 years Gender – Male Education – B.A Final year Occupation – Student Marital Status – Unmarried Income – Zero Family Members – Total Six ● MATERIALS REQUIRED – Question set, paper, pen/ pencil. ● PROCEDURE – Subject was requested to sit properly and be comfortable subject.Rapport was established and the subject was well informed about the test clear instructions were given to | The subject and questions were asked and responses noted down.The overall conduction of the test went good. SUBJECT DATA (Questions) - I am the life of the party - I feel little concern for others - I don’t like to draw attention to myself - I take time out for others - I shirk my duties - I have frequent mood swings - I use difficult words - I don’t mind being the center of attention - I have a soft heart - I shirk my duties - I feel others emotions - I am quiet around strangers - I make people feel at ease - I am exacting in my work - I often feel blue - I am full of ideas ● RESULTS – Results of this test are as follows I. Extraversion 41% II. Emotionally stable 34% III. Agreeableness 35% IV. Conscientiousness 22% V. Intellect 20% ● CONCLUSION – Subject scored high on factor I , which means he is outgoing and social.The overall conduct of this test was good experience. # PRACTICAL – 2 ● TITLE – Rorschach Inkblot Test ● AIM – To assess the personality structure of the subject by using the Rorschach inkblot test. ● INTRODUCTION – Rorschach inkblot technique was developed by Herman Rorschach a swiss psychiatrist in 1921 to make a diagnostic investigation of personality as a whole.This test is a measure to test both intellectual and non intellectual traits of personality.This test consists of 10 inkblots each of which contain bilaterally symmetrical printed inkblots. This test was made to examine a person’s personality characteristics and emotional functioning. ● MATERIALS – Aset of 10 inkblot cards,Rorschach manual,response sheet,pen,pencil,watch . ● SUBJECT INFORMATION - ✔ -Name – Deepika Sharma ✔ -Age – 27 years ✔ -Sex – female ✔ -Education – post graduation ✔ -Occupation – teacher ✔ -Resident – Delhi ● PROCEDURE – Rapport was established with the subject by having a light conversation.The subject was well informed about the test .Subject was also told that there is no time limit.Cards were shown to the subject and overall administration of the test went good. ● SCORING – 1.Location – The scoring of the location there are 3 main location categories. (a) whole(w) – is scored when the whole inkblot area is perceived for the response. (b) major details(D) – includes a large area of the blot ,it should be a separate segment by itself even if the area is small, it should frequently be chosen to attribute to a response. (c) Minar details (Dd)- It should be included in a smaller area of the blot , it should be an area infrequently chosen for response. It should be an inner detail of the compact area. ● CONCLUSION – The subject's Rorsach test suggest that her thought process capacity is low.Her Behaviour is governed by her attitude.Interpersonal relationships are poor.Adaptive capacity is also low .Emotional life is uncontrolled. # PRACTICAL – 3 ● You are aware that mental disorders are diagnosed with the help of DSM- and ICD criteria. With the help of online and offline resources discuss and figure out the key changes that have been made in DSM-5 Following are the changes that have been made in DSM-iv to DSM-5 ● In the DSM 4 substance use disorder was broken into two separate diagnoses of substance abuse and substance dependence. In the DSM- 5 they combined these two diagnoses into one to create a single diagnostic category of substance use disorder. ● The substance use disorder criteria of legal problems from the DSM-4 was dropped in favor of cravings or a strong desire or urge to use a substance in DSM-5. ● In addition, three categories of disorder severity were formed, using the number of patient symptoms, Out of II potential symptoms, 2-3 symptoms are diagnosed as mild substance use disorder, 4-5 symptoms as moderate and 6 or more symptoms as a severe substance use disorder. In the DSM-4 patients only needed one symptom present to be diagnosed with substance abuse, while the DSM-5 requires two or more symptoms in order to be diagnosed with substance use disorder. ● DSM-5 eliminated the physiological sub type and the diagnosis of poly substance dependence. # PRACTICAL -4 -(SUMMARY) A national mental health survey was conducted in India in 2015- 16.This survey was aimed to estimate the prevalence and burden of mental health disorders in India and identify current treatment, gaps, patterns of these disorders. This survey was conducted in Punjab, U.P, Tamil Nadu, kerala, Jharkhand, west Bengal, M.p etc. Standardized methodology was used to conduct the survey.This survey was commissioned by the ministry of health and family welfare,government of india.This survey report says that nearly 15 percent of adults IN India require treatment for one or more mental health disorders.This survey examined the mental health problems their impact etc. This survey says that tobacco use disorder is highly prevalent with 13.1 and post traumatic stress disorder least with 0.2%.Urban people suffer more from mental disorders. This survey says that there is a huge burden of mental disorder, behavioral and substance use disorder. Mental health needs more attention as people in India are mostly unaware about mental disorders. According to this survey there is a need to implement mental health literacy .There is also a need to upgrade existing facilities. All mental health plans need a scientific approach to be conducted. Mental health needs more attention from political leaders ,policy makers, health professionals etc.The survey says that nearly 1.9 % of the population suffers from severe mental disorders like depression, schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders. The overall conclusion of the report was that there is need of mental health literacy ,policies and promotion and recognition of mental health in India. # PRACTICAL – 5(case study) -Jai is a 30 year old man who is working in the army and who was discharge by his duty in 2018,after serving his term in afganistan that since he returned from the posting,he has not been his original self and this has impacted his relationships also.Jai reports that he has difficulty in sleeping and has nightmares.He further says that he has undergone many traumatic experiences.In his last posting he was not sure to sharing it with anyone.He is irritable has intrusive memories that he declines to share with anyone and neither wants to meet anyone. A)Identify the disorder and its symptoms. The disorder patient is suffering from is post traumatic stress disorder as he complains of traumatic events,nightmares,irritability,substance abuse etc.
