The Creation Story (From the Hopi Natives) Reflection “Put it inside of them.” For me, what did the creator hid inside humans is the realizations. In life, we always find ourselves seeking answers to our queries. We always strive for the answers to understand our lives. Those hidden realizations are the answers of who we are as a person. Not just of who we are, but also the decisions and solutions to the problems in our life. When we have problems to do and decisions to make, we always ask answers to other people. But then all along, the realizations are within us. There’s no other person who knows you better than yourself. And I think knowing oneself is a power that we must possess. In that way, we can learn so many realizations to our life. And for me, I can be a living testament to that. Growing up, especially in my high school years, I have been constantly battling with my insecurities. This problem of mine gave me the greatest realization of my life. Back then, I was constantly seeking answers on how I can build my self-esteem and how I can defeat my insecurities. I watched many vloggers on YouTube giving tips on how to build confidence, but none of them gave me the realization that I need. Until I examined myself, I seek answers within me. Thankfully, God has given me the grace of wisdom. I realized that in order for me to lift myself up, I need focus on myself more and revoke those false beliefs that I have within me. I need to love myself and see the good things about me. We are all fortunate because those realizations that we aim to find are within us. Unlike the eagle who said that he will take it to the moon, not all of us can go to the moon. The salmon said that he will bring it to the bottom of the ocean. If that happened, up until now, I’m still drowning in my insecurities. The buffalo said that he will bury it on the great plains. If that happened, we would keep digging on the ground right now. That’s why we are blessed, I am very blessed to have those realizations within me. And I hope that all people will learn that what there searching for their selves is inside of them. It takes hard work and acceptance to realize that we hold the answers because sometimes we don’t trust ourselves. But treat those realizations as a bright light source, a light of hope and courage to become a better version of ourselves.
