Reyes Grade 12 STEM-A Empowerment Technology Quarter 3 – Module 1 “What would your life be without ICT?” My life without ICT would have been difficult and wouldn’t be enjoyable for most of us. Due to the advent of technology, our everyday life has undergone a drastic change. Life in the present times become more comfortable, easy, and fast. Our smartphones, laptops, and other gadgets have become part of our lives, that we somehow cannot live without. For example, you have something important to say to your friend Marjorie but she’s in Manila and you’re in Pangasinan, without ICT you’ll need to send a letter to the post office and take several days to deliver it to her. Looking at the whole picture, ICT is an innovation that has influenced our lives profoundly. We simply cannot imagine life without it. It has increased our life expectancy and changed the way we lived. Whereas it has brought people closer together in various ways and it has also contributed to people drifting apart from one another. Our lives would have been less difficult, harder, poorer, secluded, uninteresting, disconnected, and perilous.
