NARRATIVE REPORT ON THE CONDUCT OF TREE PLANTING PROGRAM February 21, 2020 Trees play a very important role in our life. Trees contribute to their environment by providing oxygen, improving air quality, climate amelioration. Conserving water, preserving soil and supporting wildlife. During the process of photosynthesis, trees take in carbon dioxide and produce the oxygen we breathe. In the modern time where buildings and plantations are in exchange of trees, we need to plant and grow more trees. Mabilao National High School conducted a tree planting program last February 21, 2020, it is a joint activity of the GSP (Girl Scout of the Philippines), SSG (Supreme Student Government), CAT (Citizenship Advancement Training) and CIC ( Campus Integrity Crusaders ). The objectives of this endeavor is to raise awareness among the students the importance of planting and saving trees and help the school diminish the unfavourable effects of climate change. A short orientation was conducted and given by the Patrol Leader/Field Adviser of GSP Ma’am Normita R. Sibayan to where the different school organizations may take their place and to where they will plant the seedlings. An inspiring message was also given by Dr. Jane M. Vivar, Principal III of Mabilao National High School about the importance of planting trees. On the other hand, Ma’am Flora May Disu led the CAT for the deployment of CAT students in the old library for tree planting. Ma’am Sharon Azurin and Sir Dionisio Espino ground headed the SSG and CIC students on the Bonifacio Building. Faculty and students are well organized for clearing, cleaning and digging the ground to where everyone was assigned. Mahogany seedlings were planted inside the school premises with the help of the said school organization. Without the cooperation and volunteerism of everyone this said event will not be possible.
