NR667 Comprehensive Study Plan Learning Goal Learning Activities Timeline Reflection Improve my knowledge of respiratory function and diseases. I will practice the APEA, specific questions/exams related to respiratory function & diseases; I will practice these until I am confident in the subject; I will review all practice questions that I miss, daily. I will make a list weekly and work with my preceptor on specific issues that I struggle with, related to respiratory function and disease, asking questions, reviewing until I am comfortable with the disease process, the diagnosis & treatment. I will accomplish this goal by week 6; continuing to review until week 8; I will continue to review all subjects, one subject at a time, until my certification exam date to ensure I am prepared. Activity number 2 will be an ongoing plan for me as I complete my practicum and move into a new role as NP Activity number 5 will be completed on Feb. 22nd at the live intense review. Improving my knowledge of respiratory diseases will help me be more confidant in assessing and treating respiratory disorders; being more aware of the respiratory issues and how to treat them will ensure I am giving the best care possible to my patients for the greatest health outcomes; Improving my knowledge in this area will help me be successful in my certification exam. I will listen/watch the exam reviews on the subject multiple times until I feel knowledgeable in the subject. I will review national clinical guidelines & statpearls on the subject. Improve my knowledge of EENT functions and diseases. I will practice the APEA, EENT questions/exams; I will practice until I am confident in the subject; I will review all practice questions that I miss, daily. I will make a list weekly and work with my preceptor on EENT issues; I will practice more assessments of ears, eyes, nose & throats on patients, while in clinical practicum and on family members to ensure my knowledge. I will watch videos specific to the assessment of EENT, to better understand what I am looking at/for. I will accomplish this goal by week 6; continuing to review until week 8; I will continue to review all subjects, one subject at a time, until my exam date to ensure I am prepared.
