Option One: Work in a small group to create a scene/skit that portrays one of the conflicts in the short story “On the Sidewalk Bleeding”. • The scene must be thoroughly planned out and written • The scene should be emotionally driven—show the conflict and show how the character (s) react to/feel about the situation (this is not simply a dramatized version of the story). • The scene should stay true to the text, but in order to effectively show the conflict and the characters’ thoughts about the conflict, extra details will need to be added • The scene should be followed by a brief explanation about the type of conflict (person vs. person, person vs. self, person vs. society, person vs. nature) your scene depicted.
