Abstract This study aimed to asses the effectiveness of Facebook as a learning platform in the University of Baguio Senior High School. The study is conducted among N students to know the Facebook pages that students are frequently using and the approaches that students preferred in resarching science topics. Specifically, the researchers sought to answer how effective is Facebook as platform in learning science subjects. The researchers used simple random as a sampling technique. To be able to determine the objectives, the researchers used survey questionaire. In the study, it had been found out that National Geographic was mostly use by students while the least used Facebook page was Bill Nye. Under approaches, students prefer history, new species, and experiments as an approach in learning science subjects while the least used approach are about past invention, new medicine, and about chemicals. While on the effectiveness; concepts, breakthrough, and instructional video were perceived as very effective approach in learning science subject.
