Valenteen Allen October 22, 2008 Philosophy of Education EDTC 100 Sections I Education is the corner stone of a way to have a stellar life. Teachers have the key to the gates of implementation. Although for a teacher to have this key they must have an understanding or a philosophy on education. This is not something a person just jumps into. Teachers for all intents and purposes are a parent to large amounts of children. Children look to them for guidance, understanding, and approval. Teacher must assimilate that they are there to provide life-long learning. They need to comprehend that students come into their class room vastly different from any other student, and that these pupils need every chance available to them. Schoolboys and girls all have the potential to perceive the knowledge a teacher is trying to impart. If educators do not forget that the path to enlightenment is through life-long learning than no one is limited. A teacher’s commitment to his or his scholars is one not to be taken lightly. This commitment is impermeable. Educators’ should never make a person feel as they are less than the other child. They should be sympathetic to every child’s needs. A teacher who is outstanding will touch the lives of his or her students in a positive light. A teacher who is
