The major components of the circulatory system include heart, blood vessels and blood. The major function of this system is transportation. Using blood as the trarisport vehicle; the system can deliver oxygen and nutrients throughout the body, remove wastes products of metabolism and mount body defense against infection. In this experiment, the student has an opportunity to review the basic components of the circulatory system and relate these components with their individual functions.
