Nucleus  The repository of genetic information and as the cell’s control center.  Control all cell activities like metabolism, protein synthesis, growth and cell division. 2. Golgi Body  the site at which the complex polysaccharides of the cell wall are synthesized. 3. Vesicle  Transport materials that an organism needs to survive and recycle waste materials.  Absorb and destroy toxic substances and pathogens to prevent cell damage and infection. 4. Lysosome   the digestive system of the cell, serving both to degrade material taken up from outside the cell and to digest obsolete components of the cell itself. 5. Plasma Membrane  Provides protection for a cell, it also provides a fixed environment inside the cell. 6. Mitochondria  Known as “powerhouse of the cell”, it produces the energy necessary for the cell’s survival and functioning. 7. Chloroplast  produce energy through photosynthesis and oxygen-release processes, which sustain plant growth and crop yield.  8. Cell Wall  provides tensile strength and protection against mechanical and osmotic stress.  9. Vacuole  help maintain water balance.  10.Rough endoplasmic reticulum  to produce proteins for the rest of the cell to function.    protein folding, sorting, and transporting the proteins outside the cell to their proper destinations. 11.Smooth endoplasmic reticulum  responsible for the synthesis of essential lipids such as phospholipids and cholesterol.  responsible for the production and secretion of steroid hormones. 12.Nucleolus  Produce and assemble the cell’s ribosomes.  Ribosomal RNA genes are transcribed.
