Group 1 The Effectiveness of not Implementing the Death Penalty People nowadays are deeply concerned about the justice that everyone should and ought to have. Many of them are keep debating on how to treat those people who did a very inhumane crime. However, the two things where everyone is arguing are the death penalty and the anti-death penalty, some people agree to death penalty while others don’t. Thus, the death penalty is very crucial and brutal, There are people who are involved in crimes that are not their fault, they are convicted without enough evidence. On the other hand, death penalty violates the most fundamental human right — the right to life. People are hanged and sentenced to death by the state every day for a variety of offenses, including those that should not be criminalized. It can be used for drug-related offenses in some countries, but it is reserved for terrorism-related crimes and murder in others. Some countries do not take any concern about the age and still put into a sentence a person whose age under 18 at the time of the crime, others utilize the death penalty against people with mental and intellectual disabilities, and still, others use the death sentence after unfair trials — all in clear violation of international law. People might spend years on death row, unsure of when their sentence will end or if they will see their families one more time. The non-enforcement of the death penalty can avoid mistakes to justice, especially in the case of people who are wrongly imprisoned because of the false accusation will never be right. In addition to this, implementing death penalty will just continue the cycle of violence. Killing people makes us like the murderers that most of us despise. No perfect system should have the right to decide who lives and who dies. The government is made up of imperfect humans. Although it is a punishment for those criminals this does not mean that it is effective for everyone. In that reason, this paper would like to present the effectiveness of not implementing the death penalty. Death Penalty is not beneficial to everyone, it may lead to a situation that resulting a different kinds of crisis. In that reason, here are the claims that conveys the fight against death penalty; First, There is no way to bring back the occasional mistake, According to Watt Epsy an Alabamanian researcher in America Execution he founds out that there are 10 innocent people who had been exterminate in Alabama alone. Mr. Epsy also cites the names, dates and other proof of cases that there are people who experienced death by false accusation. It is literally hard to accept that there are some human being that face the heartless act of punishment without revealing the truth first. Second, When it comes to the death sentence, there is racial and economic prejudice. This reported long time ago but it continued from that timeline, Since 1977, in Florida there have been five white prisoners executed: one shot, one gassed, and three electrocuted. This appears to be a morbid form of affirmative action, compensating for historical discrimination against African- Americans. Except for being male, the five were not representative of the death-row population. Men make up nearly all of the convicts on execution row. However, on August 20, 1982, 42 percent of the 1,058 people on death row in the United States were black, despite the fact that only roughly 12% of the population were black. Those facing the death penalty are still disproportionately, poor people, uneducated, and just basing on the public attorneys. It shows that discrimination is on going on the death penalty and it is not just unfair to the condemned, but it also implies that certain victims’ lives are more valuable than others. According to a study published in the Journal Crime & Delinquency in October 1980 that “Those who kill whites are about 40 times more likely to be condemned to death than those who kill blacks.” Third, The death penalty is frequently used arbitrarily and capriciously; some people are put to death for comparable offenses, while others are not. In Florida 1979 there are two men who imprisoned because of murder but it turns out that they had been punished differently, wherein John Spenkenlink was excuted through electrocuted while the other one who killed a mayor of San Francisco and other city politician was just punished through imprisonment of 7 years and 8 months. It also violates the constitutional guarantee of equal protection wherein no race, age or even the status in life of people may torn by the unfair capital punishment. Fourth, The death penalty contains a medical doctors, who are sworn to protect human life, in the act of killing. This issue has gotten a lot of attention in recent years because several states have legalized lethal injection executions. Reportedly tells that doctors check the punished criminal if it is already dead then if it’s not the process of killing will repeat them again. Fifth, Due to death sentence, corruption could be behind of it because some powerful officials may use it for entertainment perhaps we have no idea of the underlying situation in every different case. Sixth, death penalty is contradicting the human rights. Everyone has a right to live and no person doesn’t have the rights to took anyone’s life. Seventh, the cost of the capital punishment or the death penalty is worth a millions and I may say that this would be a great loss of the economy fund if they would punish a person incorrectly plus it is from the people’s tax and it is perhaps can cause an inflation to them due to higher tax. Eight, religions that believes in God’s words were extremely against in this type of punishment. The church says that According to the story in Bible there is a woman that betray her husband and cheat on him that is going to be killed by stone but then Jesus came and says “He that is without sin among you, let him cast the first stone” (John 8:7). I, as a Christian is going to believe in the righteous statements which is from the word of God, he is the creator and he is the only one that have the rights to set our timeline ending. For that reason I and my group are strongly against to the death penalty because I have read some news and articles before that are heart breaking to know because many of the people had experience an vicious type of death, false death sentencing could not bring back the life of the victims. I would say that you should put the shoes of others to yours so that you can comprehend easily everything behind of this argument, imagine that they family can’t celebrate birthdays, christmas or even new year because their love ones are the one that is false executed by the government. It’s typically heart wrenching that death penalty can ruined the innocent person’s life and even though I’m a young teen ager I already realize the importance of the effectiveness of not implementing the death penalty, the victims will be very happy if no one will going to experience again they have been experience. Everything under the law were not receiving the same justice that anyone has the right to achieve, you may notice that when you have no capability you can’t escape from the unfair punishment. We are all humans, thus, we have no right to took’s other life that’s why if the death penalty would not be set in every country that facing an unfair justice system. If there is no
