PRAYERS FOR OPENING A MEETING Dear Lord, we thank You for this opportunity to gather in friendship and harmony once again. Help us in unity to make this program a successful and effective one. In Thy name we pray. Amen ____________________ Loving Heavenly Father, We come to you this hour and ask for your blessing and help as we gather. We pray for guidance in the matters at hand and ask that you would clearly show us how to conduct our work with a spirit of joy and enthusiasm. Give us the desire to find ways to excel in our work. Help us to come together and encourage each other to excellence. We ask that we challenge each other to reach higher and farther to be the best we can be. Amen ____________________ ACTIVE MILITARY PRAYER Lord, hear us as we pray for all military soldiers serving in deployment around the world. In war-torn countries, which are so far from their homes, those that put their lives unselfishly on the line each day so we may feel safer. We humbly ask You to place Your mighty arms around them. Guard them from the evil one and from those that plot and plan against them with violence and destruction. Please fill their hearts with firm determination, unflinching courage and understanding.
