Liquor, wine, beer and wine coolers are all examples of alcoholic beverages. When you consume alcohol while pregnant, the alcohol in your blood travels swiftly to your baby through the placenta and umbilical cord. The placenta develops in the uterus and provides nourishment and oxygen to the baby via the umbilical cord. Any quantity of alcohol consumed during pregnancy might damage the growing brain and other organs of your fetus. At any stage during pregnancy, no quantity of alcohol has been proved to be safe (Messina Et At. 2020). During pregnancy, there is no safe time to consume drinks with alcohol contents. Alcohol can harm your baby at any point during pregnancy, even before you realize you're expecting.  During pregnancy, there is no safe time to consume alcohol:  Especially before a woman realizes she is pregnant, alcohol can create difficulties for the growing fetus. Drinking alcohol during the first trimester of pregnancy might result in an aberrant facial appearance in the infant. Drinking alcohol during pregnancy might cause growth and central nervous system abnormalities for example, behavioral issues, low birthweight, among others. During pregnancy, the baby's brain is growing and can be harmed by alcohol consumption at any moment. It is never too late for a woman to quit consuming alcohol while pregnant. Miscarriage, stillbirth, and a variety of permanent physical, behavioral, and intellectual impairments can all result from drinking alcohol during pregnancy (Gouilhers Et al. 2019).
