An example of effective writing to me is an informal blog post from Just Security titled “17 Years Later: Applying Post 9/11 Lessons to Potential Cyber 9/11.” Former Senior Counterterrorism Officials believe that their 17 years of addressing terrorist threats can help us prevent a potential cyber 9/11. The writers effectively provide evidence to support their experience and had good structure within their paragraphs. The writers were able to use their experience to inform us on how we can help as individuals to prevent cyberattacks. After reading this blog, I can improve my writing skills in different ways. The blog post was conducted of different authors, which taught me that ideas that are important should be more in detail. The writers were able to explain a difficult topic that was easy to comprehend and gave examples of how the apply the lessons. The Cybersecurity field has a technical way of saying things which when it comes to writing must be explained in a way to allow others to understand. If I want to be a good writer, I need to know how to keep my audience attention and provide sufficient information to support my topic. When it comes to specific information within technology, you must make sure your codes are accurate for it to work, which I use to apply to my writing by checking my grammar and sentences.
