Download Group Communication (COMM 326) Reading Quiz Instructions - Prof. Jodi Bromley and more Quizzes Effective Business Communication in PDF only on Docsity! Group Communication (COMM 326) Reading Quiz Overview Each week your group will take a reading quiz together as a group. You will each be given copies of the quiz, but will submit only ONE copy signed by each group member. The score earned on a given quiz will be assigned to each individual member. I will total the quiz points earned at the close of the term and based on the average (e.g., 90-100 = A, 80-89 = B, 70-79 = C, 60-69 = D, and 59- F) assign a letter grade to each member of the group. Please note:  These are closed book quizzes and the ODU Honor Code does apply.  These quizzes are short. Most will take not more than 15 minutes.  These quizzes will only cover the textbook readings.  These quizzes will be given at the start of class (see Calendar). Suggestions  All members of the group should read chapters in their entirety (Individuals will be responsible for the material on the final exam (part of which will be taken as an individual).  All members of the group should come fully prepared for the quiz (as if they were taking it alone). Caution  The instructor will monitor quizzes and reserves the right to assign a grade of 0 for non- participation. Missing a Quiz  Students who miss a quiz should first contact the group to request a make-up quiz. There should be legitimate reasons offered to the entire group for missing a quiz (illness, car trouble, etc.). Should the group agree to allow a make-up, the group should contact the instructor to set one up. Make-ups are taken by individuals and the make-up score earned will be averaged with the group’s score and then assigned to that person.
