Patrick Morefield October 18, 2006 Sociology 2600 The article that I have chose to be a concern for me is an article about firearms and how they are viewed about by law makers. The article is entitled “Reflections on Firearms and the Criminal Law” by Franklin E. Zimring and it was published in The Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology, Vol. 86, No 1, in autumn 1995. Lawmakers are just looking to do away with the crimes in which people use the firearms to commit. The author concluded that “There are effective and ineffective strategies for firearms control just as there are good and bad penal laws governing
