I like the bravery of Martin Luther because of his courage in standing up for what is right and speaking the truth. Becoming a voice for morality in both the church and the world at large is never easy. Luther did try to improve the Catholic Church through his protests. He was trying to reveal the gospel truth. What is the harm in disclosing the truth that one has discovered for oneself in the scriptures? The only people who would have an issue with something like that are those who are attempting to conceal or hide something from the public. The Catholic priests and their followers were simply not acting in the role of the body of Christ. That is what "church" is all about. The "body of Christ," in other words. The demand for the purification of the church, as well as the idea that the Bible, rather than tradition, should be the primary source of divine authority. Having read this article, I'm more convinced than ever that going to church isn't enough; we also need to feed our faith by reading God's word and praying genuinely and true to him every day. Therefore, going to churches is not enough. We also need to read the scriptures and gospels of God, read and read, and critique the teaching.
