Religion of abdomen The Nine Regions of the Abdomen. www.medicostuff.com + Upper regions — Left hypochondriac, epigastric region, and the right hypochondriac « Middle regions — Left lumbar, umbilical region, and the right lumbar + Lower regions — Left iliac, hypogastric Fv region, and the right iliac Lumbar Region The lumbar region is found in the mid-sections of the abdomen. This region is part of the lower back that lies lateral to the vertebrae region. They are two lumbar regions: the right and the left region. The organs found on the right lumbar region are: right kidney, ascending colon, gall bladder, and some liver sections. On the other hand, the left lumbar region consists of the left kidney, descending colon, and spleen sections. Hypogastric The hypogastric region (below the stomach) contains the organs around the pubic bone. These include bladder, part of the sigmoid colon, the anus, and many organs of the reproductive system, such as the uterus and ovaries in females and the prostate in males. lliac fossa Iliac fossa is large smooth ,concave surface on the internal surface of the illum (near the hip bone) . Iliac fossa is main organ :large intestine , appendix ,sigmoid colon
