CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION - Nowadays, most of the students use gadgets and technologies for the requirements in school like homework, presentation and projects. Other students have computer, laptop and printer in their house, but the ink is so expensive that's why most of the students rent in computer shop to lessen the expense. There are many types of ink. Students and other buyers should choose wisely when it comes to this. It is important to choose the best ink not just for important matters in school but for work also. The study focuses on the two types of ink the continuous ink and the ink cartridge. Continuous Ink is an inking system for ink jet printer that consist a large external refillable ink supply. It is delivering a large volume of liquid ink to a comparatively small inkjet print head. The ink is transported from tanks through the black flexible band, which is rigid so it does not fall into the path of the print head and cause a jam. While the ink cartridge contains ink and can be replaced. It is a component of an inkjet printer that contains the ink that is deposited onto paper during printing. It is not used in laser jet and dot matrix printer, which use powdered toner and ink-soaked ribbon unlike with the continuous ink that is suitable to any kind of printers. Each cartridges contains one or more ink reservoirs; certain procedures also add electronic contact and a chip that communicates with the printer. Both of them also fits in different printer models. Purpose of the Study The purpose of this study is to evaluate the differences between inkjet and cartridge. And to give depth understanding to the readers. Also, it will be a great help in determining what would be the best use between inkjet and cartridge. The researcher explores to give the best understanding of it. And the researcher do this study by getting the answers of the respondents from the given questions of the researcher. So, the researcher can give the best explanation to this study. SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY The significance of the study aims to help determining the difference between inkjet and cartridge. This will help not just the respondents, but also the people who have printer in their houses and the ones who are attempting to buy but couldn't choose between the two. The gathered data and information could broaden their knowledge and could be a help to make up with a wise and right decision. Furthermore, the next researchers could utilize this study as their basis and support for their own research paper SCOPE AND LIMITATION This study covers printer users. What are they more likely to use if they are continuous ink or cartridge ink. Researchers will conduct surveys in the eleven areas and will get 50 respondents to respond to inquiries from computer shops using printers FOREIGN LITERATURE There are a lots of Refilling Station nationwide because it is what you so called one of the necessity of every people. Having a printer makes the life of every individual easy just like doing school works, paper works and a lot more. According to (Keen, 2017) “There are plenty of ink types out there, each one created for a different use in commercial printing” The Agana Refilling Ink Station offers different kinds of Ink which is suitable for high quality brand of printers that can produce good product, it is one of the reason why customers are encourage to buy in there business. According to (Ku, 2011) “Cost isn’t the only factor to play here, either. Your purchasing decision have a real impact on the quality of your print. Ink and paper can change the quality of essays, stories and articles and comprised purely of the text” The cost of the ink may not that too expensive but it can produce good quality outcome it’s because the product is ery affordable yet it is also in high quality.There are many different kinds of good quality of ink that is suitable for good brand of printers and it can also produce good quality of print. According to (Keen, 2017) “There are plenty of ink types out there, each one created for a different use in commercial printing” Having a printers can make the life of every individual easier it cannot be function without ink or papers. According to (Canfield, 2006) “By far the most expensive component of printing your own digital images is the cost of consumable ink and papers” Sometimes buyers depends on the price to know the quality of ink, if the ink has a high price it will produce a proper output. According to (Wirth, 2014) “It is a attraction to many users who just hate plain ink because they know that if it is in high price it produces also a good quality” VARIABLE DISCUSSION Employees of the business affect the company in the way upon how they deliver the service to the customers. It also includes the consistency of an employee in terms of work ethics. Employees’ behaviors or actions will reflect to the management and the business whether it is good deed or the converse. The quality of product is the most important in a business and the Ink Refilling has the highly recommended product to perfectly utilize for the customer’s needs. The Ink Refilling has a high quality products and services compare to the other Ink Refilling. One of the important factors in helping the business to succeed is having a good relationship with the customers. Because the customers are the primary source of their income. And also they are the one who helps the business to become successful. Just like Ink Refilling they maintain a good relationship with customers. They prioritize each of their customers by giving their needs and wants. And because of that they earned the trust of their customers and that is the reason why they are successful and still operating. One of the threats in the business is the competitors. It became an additional challenge to the owner and the management and can be a great cause to lower the business’ profit. Competitors can serve as an encouragement to strive more and harder or can be seen as a huge threat for the business. Your business' location is the key in successful operations and overall growth. You have to think wisely where you put your business you want to be. When choosing your location, consider company needs, customers, employees and equipment needed to complete the services. PROBLEM STATEMENT AND HYPOTHESIS Problem statement 1: What kind of ink are you using? Hypothesis : Most of the respondents use continuous ink. The researchers think because it can lessen the expense rather than the Cartridge ink which is more expensive. And continuous ink can be used for a long time. Problem statement 2 : What is your bias when you are buying an ink ? Hypothesis : Almost all of the respondents choose the quality and not to expensive. Because when we buy a product we always first consider the quality before the price. There is no use if the item is expensive and the quality is not that good. Problem statement 3 : Which do you concern when purchase and ink? Hypothesis : Of course most of the respondents prefer the quality rather than other aspects. The usage of the ink is more important rather than how much did you buy it. Problem statement 4 : How can be assured of the quality of ink cartridge ? Hypothesis : The respondents choose the tested for quality, it’s either one of their friends or relatives already use the item and they can assure you that the quality is the best. Problem statement 5: How often do you replace your the cartridge ? Hypothesis : In the span of 2-3 months the respondents replace the ink cartridge. Because ink cartridges is easily be used up . it just contain a small amount of ink that’s why within the span of 2-3 months you need to buy a new one. Problem statement 6 : What is not consider when you choosing an ink ? Research Paradigm INPUT What are the major and minor differences of the two well known ink? PROCESS OUTPUT We gathered different information throug; secondary the internet us. The locale and foreign research was get in the internet. Compared this two types of ink and find their differences in different aspects. Enable the customers to know what are the good qualities to consider in buyi' a ink. It make them more aware which is the best and the good one. A basis for formulation of difference between cartridge ink and continuous ink is shown in this thesis. CHAPTER 3 Research Locale This research study was conducted at Marulas Valenzuela City, who has a printing business shop, in order to identify what kind of ink they use, what is affordable for them and has a good quality. We gathered 50 respondents to answer the survey questionnaire. Research Instrument A survey questionnaire is the only instrument the researchers will be using. It consists of questions and choices in each question that will be answered by the respondents. The answers will serve as the source of data for the study. Research Ethics A certification that ensures the integrity and security of the study participants by the researchers. Whoever do plagiarism which is the use of idea taken from others without consent or credit will get a penalty and the researcher study will not acknowledgement or appreciate by other researcher. Data Collection The main purpose in this study is to gathered information through the means of survey questionnaire. Questions that are based on what they experienced or know about the two types of ink; the continuous and cartridge ink. The survey questionnaire is structured, wherein they can answer the questions with the given specific choices. It includes the low level of involvement of the researcher and the high number of the respondents (C.N. Truman). In this study, knowing the differences and similarities, the driving forces of the user why they use that ink type instead of that one. We conduct the survey through the vicinity of Marulas, we choice 25 different computer shops as our respondents. Each survey questionnaire is composed of 8 questions. Here is the structured sample questions that are included in the survey questionnaire Question 1 : What kind of ink are you using? Question 2 : What is your bias when you are buying an ink ? Question 3 : Which do you concern when purchase and ink? Question 4 : How can be assured of the quality of ink cartridge ? Question 5: How often do you replace your the cartridge ? Question 6 : What is not consider when you choosing an ink ? Question 7 : What is the difference between continous ink and cartridge ink? CHAPTER 4 RESULT AND DISCUSSION GRAPH NO. 1 In this graph, 32 or 64% of the respondents says that they are using continuous ink rather than cartridge because continuous ink is cheaper than cartridge and it is also refillable. While 18 or 36% percent chose cartridge because cartridge ink is easy to use and it is cleaner compared to Continuous Ink. Most of the respondents chose Continuous Ink rather than Cartridge Ink. GRAPH NO. 2 This graph shows the reason of the respondents when they are buying ink. 81% percent is the highest which most of them chooses the quality but not too expensive, 13% chose expensive with a high quality, 3% chose affordable but the quality is not that good and the remaining 3% decided to buy the ink because it is not refillable. 81% chose the quality but not too expensive because most of our respondents has an printing business and it's a big part of their business. 13% shows that they chose expensive with a high quality to assure that the quality is good when they print some papers. 3% chose an ink printer that is not refillable, and the other 3% answered that they buy the ink because it is affordable with their budget even the quality is not that good. GRAPH NO. 3 In this graph, shows the concerns of the respondents when they are purchasing ink. 75% they chose quality, 16% chose price, 6% chose Customer Service and 3% has other concerns when they buy. 75% chose the quality because they think it is the most important when buying an ink. 16% considered the price because it depends on their budget. Because some of the respondents are owner of computer shops and they will depend the ink that they will buy based on their budget. While the 6% chose the customer service because they buy the ink to their distributor. And the 3% of the respondents had their own reasons in buying an ink. GRAPH NO. 4 This graph shows, on how the respondents assured the quality of the ink that they buy. Sixty two percent (62%) of the respondents tested the ink first before they buy it. Twenty two percent (22%) answered that it will also match the other printing brands before they buy it. Fourteen percent (14%) considering great value because they think it has a good quality. And two percent (2%) answered Handmade because they think it is cheaper. GRAPH NO. 5 In this graph, it shows on how often the respondent replaced their cartridge. 61% answered that they replaced their cartridge in the span of 2-3 months. In the other hand, 20% answered that they replaced their cartridge every month. 16% of them answered that they replaced their ink cartridge every 4-6 months. And 3% of the respondents replaced their cartridge every more than 6 months. The 61% answered that they replace their cartridge every 2-3 months because they owns a regular computer shop that printing some school and paper works. And the 20% are the owners of printing stations. They replace their cartridges every month because they had many customers and their ink is quickly exhausted. The 16% are the owners of computer shops that their location was far from the University. So they do not have a plenty customers. And the 3 percent are the respondents that they have their printing machine in their house. And they do not use their printing machine regularly and they replace their cartridges for more than 6 months. GRAPH NO. 6
