MA 153 Exam 2 Information BRING YOUR STUDENT ID TO THE EXAM WITH YOU Exam 2 is Monday, October 18 at 8:30 p.m.. It is a one-hour exam. The exam will cover Lessons 9-20 (including both lessons 9 and 20). Location: The location of your exam will be the Elliott Hall of Music. You have an assigned seat to sit in. You will need to obtain your seat assignment from your instructor. Please know what your seat assignment is when you get to the exam. Please know your instructor's name when you get to the exam. There will be 15 total questions on the exam. It is a multiple-choice, machine-graded exam. There is no partial credit on any question. You will be given a question sheet and a scantron sheet. Only the scantron sheet will be graded, so it is very important that you have answered all questions and answered them the way you want. The formulas provided on the exam are the volume/surface area of a cylinder, sphere, and cone if needed. You are responsible for knowing all formulas used on homework problems. Bring a scientific calculator with you to the exam. You will not be allowed to use a graphing or programmable calculator, so do not bring one. No cell phones or PDA's can be used as a calculator. If you forget your calculator or the batteries run down, you will have to work the exam without a calculator. There will not be one for you to borrow and you may not use your neighbor's. Optional Review Problems for Exam 2: Page 120: #6, 7, 13, 15, 18, 21, 24, 28, 29, 32, 34, 45, 49, 50, 52, 53, 71, 72, 76; Page 222: #3, 4, 6, 9, 11, 16, 18, 19, 22(domain only), 23, 29, 32, 33, 36, 38, 55, 56, 80; All of the above answers are in the back of the book for review problems. You may also print old exams from the MA 153 web page (answers are also available). The review problems and old exams are a good review for the exam you will be taking; however, any type of problem covered by your homework is a possibility for the exam. Also remember that the coverage on your exam may be different than the coverage on old exams. You will obtain your exam score online from the MA 153 web page about 2 days following the exam. The user id is your student id (with no dashes) and enter the password we provided you prior to exam 1. If you have lost your password, take your student ID to MATH 835 and ask them for it. Even if you self-grade your exam, make sure that you also check the online score to verify they match. The online score is the official score.
