Include in your answer what concepts preceded it and what evidence the proponents used. Describe the three major pieces of evidence supporting the hypothesis of plate tectonics (and sea floor spreading) and the scientists who made these discoveries. What new technologies were required to make these discoveries? 2. Succinctly describe the process of plate tectonics. Include in your answer the three types of plate boundaries. Describe the types of "natural hazards" that are associated with plate boundaries, and why they occur there. 3.
