The program will be cohort base and plans to admits student each fall semester. Courses are fully online with the exception of brief residencies at the beginning and end of the program. DSIT Application Materials • Online Application for admissions. • Statement of Purpose: A written statement of the applicant’s professional goals and commitment to completing the degree requirements. • Two letters of recommendation from individuals familiar with the student’s academic & technology abilities • An M.S degree in a discipline related to Information Technology (e.g. Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, etc.) conferred by a regionally accredited institution. • Grade point average of 3.0 or greater (on a scale of 4.0) on all graduate coursework • Current résumé that reflects two year of relevant work experience • Transcripts from all colleges and universities attended. • An interview may be required at the discretion of the Admissions Committee. • No GRE is required. * The Office of Graduate Studies will send out an email with an update on when MGA can formally accept application materials. Notice on Federal Financial Aid Please note that MGA has not yet been approved to offer federal financial aid for the DSIT, as the program is pending approval by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). If we are successful with SACSCOC, we will then apply to the US Department of Education, which will take several months. This means that FA may not be available for the new program until, at the earliest, Spring Semester 2021, but possibly later. If you are a University System of Georgia employee, please coordinate TAP deadlines and approvals with your HR office and your immediate supervisor. Of course, no aid can be distributed until a student has been accepted into the program. Finally, interest rates are at near record lows, so your local bank is a good place to begin for student loans if that is a service they provide.
