Give a twenty-minute talk on a paper of your choice that is not authored by you. On the other hand, it should not familiar to people outside the area, that is, it should not be material taught in undergraduate textbooks. Don’t spend too much time in choosing the paper; just go with your first instincts. It may be a good idea to consult your research/academic advisor about your choice. At least an hour before class on Sep 18, copy the presentation file to the directory: \\dewan-cs\ deposit\911, if you have network access to departmental Windows machines ; and /afs/cs.unc.edu/home/dewan/deposit, if you have access to departmental AFS.
