Visual media is a learning media that distributes message by sight. Teachers more often use visual media in learning. This study discusses the teacher's efforts to apply visual media in learning English. The tool used in the visual media process is an LCD projector. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data were obtained from English teachers through interviews and documentation. The various benefits of using visual media are that it can attract students' attention, motivate students to learn more, introduce technological tools and many others. Keywords: Teacher, Application, Visual Media INTRODUCTION The school environment is a place where children develop affective aspects, cognitive, physical, and psychomotor. The development of these aspects, of course, learning activities will be designed in such a way so that everything goes according to plan the objectives of the learning process that have been set for each subject. Physical education is one of them.In physical education learning activities there are two processes that take place, namely teaching activities and learning activities. In learning activities this is an interaction between teachers and students. This interaction process involves the teacher as a source of information and students as students. The teacher will teach various materials in accordance with the applicable curriculum. Materials to be taught of course, it must be planned in such a way that the learning objectives are achieved. Physical education learning activities that are correct, safe, and comfortable very dependent on various aspects. First, the teacher is the central element from a series of physical education learning processes. In the hands of the teacher in the end all learning processes are controlled though, this would be contrary to curriculum and methods to be used. The teacher plans the lesson starting from preparing the material to the final evaluation of the learning process. 2 Students are the second aspect that must be considered. Learners is the subject of a series of learning activities. Students will directly get treatment from the teacher and feel the learning process that is good done by the teacher. Third, the curriculum used by the teacher as a reference or benchmark in planning learning activities. Now, the curriculum that used in elementary schools is the Competency-Based Curriculum (KBK). Curriculum this requires students to master the basic competencies that have been determined. In this curriculum, the teacher is no longer the only source of learning main. Teachers can develop their own customized learning designs with the ability level of students and school conditions. For elementary school children learning media will arouse curiosity and motivation to learn if the learning media used is designed to be attractive and communicative. Various choices of learning media that can be used by physical education teachers for the benefit of delivering material to students. Visual media is one of the learning media that can help education teachers physical education in the learning process of physical education. Media is a means or tool used to convey messages from the sender to the recipient of the message, with the aim of increasing the understanding of the recipient of the message. Learning media can improve the process and results of teaching is about the level of student thinking. This is also in line with Piaget's theory of mental development, which adds that there are stages of an individual's mental development. Based on this statement, it can be concluded that learning media are tools used by teachers as teaching aids. There are several kinds of learning media, including audio media, visual media, audio-visual media, various media, photographic images, maps and globes. In making this article the researcher made an article about the application of visual media. Visual media is a learning media to get to know all praga tools that can be enjoyed through the eyes. Then the visual media has a very important role in the learning process. So that it can facilitate memory and understanding. Learning media includes tools physically used for convey the content of the subject matter, for example books, cassettes, videos, cameras, films, photos, pictures and others. Based on the background above, there are several problem formulations that will be investigated by researchers including, what media are used by English teachers and how to apply these learning media. LITERATURE REVIEW A. Definition of Learning Media Media in a narrow sense means material components and tool components in the learning system. In a broad sense, media means maximum utilization of all system components and learning resources to achieve certain learning objectives. According to Hamidjojo, what is meant by media are all forms of intermediaries used by people to spread ideas, so that the idea reaches the recipient. Meanwhile,n McLuhan provides a limitation in essence that the media is a means called a channel, because in essence the media has expanded and extended the human ability to feel, hear and see within a certain distance and time limit, now with the help of the media these boundaries almost disappear. based on the above limitations, it can be concluded that the media is a tool or means or devices that function as intermediaries or channels or bridges in communication activities (delivery and receiving of messages) between 5 realistic, actual, real and current way, because this research is to make descriptions, descriptions or paintings in a systematic, factual and accurate manner regarding facts, characteristics, and characteristics. the nature and relationship between the phenomena under investigation. RESULTS & DISCUSSION Result The results of this study are based on the formulation of the problem which consists of 1). What media are used in teaching. 2). How and how to apply the media. 1. Visual media Visual media means all teaching aids used in the learning process that can be enjoyed through the five senses (Ngubaidillah & Rikie, 2018). Visual media plays a very important role in the learning process. Visual media can facilitate understanding and strengthen memory. Visuals can also foster student interest and can provide a relationship between the content of the subject matter and the real world. (Adji Syaifullah, 2020) Moving visual media is media that can display or refract images or shadows that can move in layers, such as: biased images displayed by motion picture films and loofilms. Each media, both movable and immovable, can be seen from its use and cannot be separated from its advantages and disadvantages. 2. Application of visual media In this study the teacher used visual media with an LCD projector. An LCD projector is a type of projector that is used to display video, images, or data from a computer on a screen or something with a flat surface such as a wall, etc. LCD projectors are tools that are often used for presentation media, because they are capable of displaying large images. LCD projector media in the teaching and learning process can be further developed in order to optimize learning objectives. It is hoped that benefits will be obtained, including education that is more productive, effective, actual, and equitable. LCD projectors are also teaching aids, meaning this media depends on the teaching of educators. DISCUSSION Based on the data that the researcher has described, it can be analyzed that English teachers more often use visual media in carrying out the teaching and learning process. The purpose of using visual media is to provide a more interesting explanation so that this learning media is able to provide understanding to students so that learning runs optimally. The tool that is often used is the LCD projector. LCD Projector is a projection tool capable of displaying elements such as images, text, video, animation, video either separately or a combination of these media elements and can be connected with other electronic devices. The use of LCD Projector media in question is the purpose of using media in order to make it easier for teachers to deliver material, stimulate students to remember what they have learned and provide new lesson stimuli and make students play an active role in the learning process. So that student achievement will increase. CONCLUSION 6 This study will conclude the results of the study and discuss the research based on the research focus in this study. The media that teachers often use is an LCD projector in the form of an image. The application of the media displays the material in the form of an image then the lecturer explains the content of the material. This media is very useful because it attracts students' attention to be more enthusiastic in learning. REFERENCES Abd. Ghofur. (2010). Isu-isu Pembelajaran Sastra (1st ed., Vol. 1). Stain pmk press.
