Kinds of Tenses: The words Tense means time. There are three tenses: a. The Present Tense indicates the action done at the present time; as, He reads a book. b. The past Tense indicates the action done in the past; as, He met me yesterday. c. The future Tense indicates the action to be done in the future time; as, He will read a book. SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE Form Affirmative Sentences Subject + 1st form of the verb +(s/es) Negative Sentences Subject +do not/ does not +1st form of the verb Interrogative Sentences Do/ Does + Subject + 1st form of the verb? Affirmative I work. We work. You work. He/She/It works. Negative I do not work. We do not work. You do not work. He/She/It does not work. Interrogative Do I work? Do we work? Do you work?
