What was the song all about? - The song was telling about the life people have in the mountain. It shows what kind of work and how people do in the mountain in order to survive. It shows that government collect taxes from the owner of those land in the mountain, and most of the farmers in the mountain doesn't own a land. The song was emphasizing the blood and sweat that every farmers do and in the end it was been contributed to the government. 2.) What was the relevance of the song in the present situation of the Philippines? - The song is relevant in the present situation of the Philippines because lots of Filipino people on today's generation has been experiencing the midst of poverty. Lots of farmers in the mountain doesn't own a land and in order to survive most of them rented a land to produce crops. Most of the owner of the land are actually a government people. The land they live and spend their time and life, the land where they grow and live, is not the land they owned, they just continue to live there until they die. Their effort are not directly ended on their hands, instead it goes half in the hands of someone which is the land owner. The wishes and dreams they have had already been buried in that land together with them. D. ELABORATE What’s in the News?
