the threat from North Korea's development of basilic missiles and sideline meetings of US, Exams of International Relations

The statement of North Korea against the said alliance of the United States, South Korea, and Japan is narrow and baseless since the spokesperson only expressed criticism against the agreement of these three countries. This also suggests that the North Korean government is most likely to cover up their missile tests and draw attention to the ongoing deal with the United States by saying they want to acquire military supremacy over the Asia-Pacific region (Reuters, 2022). North Korea's goal has been to create a line between the trilateral security of the United States, South Korea, and Japan because they believe that the alliances were meant to stop their peace as one nation. Therefore, their means of peace and security in their region, from North Korea's perspective, was to create ballistic missiles and nuclear warheads. The world is composed of different countries, each with different strengths, capabilities, and weaknesses.

Extending Deterrence Against Missile Tests The events that happened at the Madrid Summit received remarkable attention in the international news, from South Korea's making its success in their first international forum to being invited by the United States and including Japan to discuss military alliances. Moreover, these sideline meetings in the NATO forum led by the United States were to discuss the important issues surrounding the Asian Pacific, and that included the threat from North Korea's development of basilic missiles and war heads that are capable of killing many people. However, North Korea assumes that the meeting between South Korea, Japan, and the United States is to create an "Asian NATO" as a way to stop them from developing more warheads. Thus, North Korea believes that the trilateral security agreement between South Korea, Japan, and the United States will result in tightening their self-defense. I cannot entirely agree with the statement given by North Korea since it is baseless and it lacks information against the other countries. Their actions are unfavorable, from their missile tests to their groundless objections. In the first week of June, a total of eight short-range missiles were fired for the missile test in North Korea. There are already 31 tests being conducted (Green, M. 2022), which means China is becoming a threat not only to its neighboring countries but to the rest of the world. This has become alarming, especially to South Korea and Japan, two countries that are too near to North Korea. Because of this threat, they desired a longer deterrence, and they would do everything possible to reinforce with the US against North Korea and ensure their safety and protection. Furthermore, North Korea forces the US to accept their concept of missiles and nuclear power while negotiating economic security (Lee, J. 2022). This offer caused impact and pressure on the United States because North Korea did not make a proper proposal for their ideas. Instead, they do things with force, which can also be considered a threat to the US and the rest of the countries, for they are impolite dictators. Lastly, the compliance of the United States, South Korea, and Japan does not aim to take over the military of the Asia-Pacific region but to strengthen and improve their deterrence capabilities against the possible harm of these ongoing missile tests in North Korea. North Korea operates and runs its missiles to test its weapon development. They are known for their military and capability of securing their country from possible future threats and wars (BBC News, 2022), which is understandable. However, North Korea, including its practices and tests, has become a threat to the world. Although they are comprehensible in the part of being ready for some future possibilities, they are still not being mindful of their actions and even their statements against other countries, which only suggest criticism. These things can be avoided through proper communication between the countries and by providing facts during information gathering or interviews. It is also necessary to be mindful of all the actions they must take, for they may harm and threaten the world. The world is composed of different countries, each with different strengths, capabilities, and weaknesses. Despite these differences, it is not impossible to have a better world resulting in countries with good relationships and connections. However, it is unavoidable for these countries to grow as a threat to the rest of the world, much like how North Korea strengthens itself. Their criticisms and baseless accusations against the alliance of the United States, South Korea, and Japan will never be considered promising, but another threat aside from their missile tests. Their actions shatter the world and frighten people, thus creating a disturbed world and resulting in their extending their deterrence to ensure their security. References: Green, M. (2022).
