SEASON OF LOVE “How do you protect God’s creation” TO START IT ALL OFF: Why exactly do we need to protect God’s Creation? God created this world, and this world that belongs to him, not ours. We are only stewards of God’s creation, and it’s our task to not neglect nor abuse it. When we fail to see the world as God’s creation, we will end up abusing it. Selfishness and greed take over, and we end up not caring about the environment or the problems we’re creating for future generations. Throughout scripture we see praise to God coming from trees, fields, the heavens, the seas, the sun, the moon, basically all his creation and much more.  If these parts of nature bring glory to God, then who are we to destroy them? Neglecting our call to protect and care for his creations directly contributes to human suffering. Therefore protecting his works and creation helps other people and brings us together. Reduce, Reuse and Recycle I’m sure that this is a very common slogan to hear, but why don’t we do it? Reducing the burden on creation is for us to reduce amounts of waste that are being put to the landfill. I’ll do this slowly until I fully get used to it. This is the action of using something again, I get that people don’t rarely do this because it’s tiring. But for me I think that the tiredness is worth it. Not only did I help in saving the environment but also enhance my skill in terms of creativity. To recycle is the process of collecting and processing materials, though that it still may be too hard for most people especially like my age, the least we could do is to donate the waste materials we no longer need to junk shops who may recycle them. Pray It’s the most powerful action to do. I don’t know what’s set for me in the future, I don’t know what’s waiting for me and I don’t know what will happen. I’m sure we all don’t, the best action I can do is to pray and ask God for his guidance and protection. That he may keep all of his wonderful creations safe and out of danger. Repent What is it’s connection with protecting God’s Creation? By repenting, I can recognize the wrong doings I’ve done and not to do it again. This includes the wrong I’ve done to people and my actions that have affected others including the environment.
