Three Rivers Pheasants Forever Scholarship Information Sheet Eligibility Requirements 1. Students should be graduating seniors with a minimum of a 2.o cumulative grade point average. 2. Students must be a member or have a parent, grandparent or guardian that is a member of the Three Rivers Pheasants Forever. 3. Preference may be given to students pursuing a career in conservation, natural resources, environmental education, conservation law enforcement, agriculture, biology or related field at an accredited institutional of higher education (i.e. Junior College, Community College, Technical College, College or University) 4. Demonstration of leadership skills, the motivation to participate in extracurricular activities and a passion for conservation and improvement of wildlife habitat is helpful. 5. Students must submit an autobiography as essay. (See application for details.) 6. Two letters of recommendation must be attached to the application. 7. Students must submit completed application and attachment to the Three Rivers Pheasant Forever Chapter by March 30th, 2018. Selection Process 1. Eligible applicants will submit an application packet to the Three Rivers Pheasant Forever Chapter contact by March 30t1 2018. 2. Local chapter’s officers will review student qualifications and select the local chapter winner by April 7th, 2018. 3. Three Rivers Pheasants Forever will work in cooperation with the school to notify winners. Disbursement of Funds Students may use their scholarship for tuition, books fees and housing at any accredited institution of higher education. Three Rivers will issue a check in the amount of$500 to the student upon completion of the first full semester. Presentations A Three Rivers Pheasants Forever officer will work with the high school and students to present the scholarship at an appropriate time or event.
