What is it and why is it so important while you are in college and learning what you need to know for your chosen field and major. Also why schools need to do their part to make sure students are being responsible and not cheating while in school.Lastly I will talk about what I can do to have academic integrity while I’m at GCU, The way I would describe academic integrity to a fellow student is by saying that it is how one acts and behaves in school and how they do their assignments. That they shouldn’t cheat on tests and papers. That they should do their own research for papers. Also how to avoid plagiarism by making sure they are citing the works they use and using quotes when appropriate. That they know how to do a reference page at the end of a paper so everything they use will get proper credit. In conclusion that is how I would describe academic integrity to a fellow student and now I will talk about why schools need to do their part to help students with academic integrity. There are ways for schools to help their students to have academic integrity, one is by making sure they teach the students how to avoid plagiarism. Each teacher should give a short lesson on how to do research and how to give credit while writing. How to use quotes, to paraphrase and how to write a reference page. This way everyone,students and teachers alike will be on the same page and understand what is expected of them in classes. This is important because in college we are being taught how to behave in the workforce when that time comes, so if students are dishonest in their school work, they won’t know what to do in the real world. In
