Monterosa September 11, 2022 1FM-2 Understanding the Self I used to think before that, who am I? What am I? What is my Personality? And many different questions regarding myself and the wonders of my psychology of myself. In this lesson, we tackled about Psychological Perspective of Self with different theories of psychologists. This lesson made me feel that I don't know myself, I don't understand half of me, and this is not me as one but as many. As we go through the lesson, the first theory surprised me that there are different stages of development of human being, I never thought of it until I knew Erik Erikson's theory and made some realizations that in levels of our life, we develop characteristics that we need to enhance, correct, and develop. And in each level, if we don't satisfy ourselves, we sacrifice in the future with "fixation" just like Sigmund Freud's theory. I also knew that we're all psychic, we have the other half of us that make us many and not one. In addition, we have multiple selves which I agree with, I thought of my everyday life and I realized that I play different roles every minute or seconds of my life. I have the role of ate, business owner, student, and many more that made me approve of Multiple versus Unified Self, True versus False Self. Being one of your dreams to be versus the real you is a normal concept of us that I think urges us to be a better version of ourselves.
