For me, the qualities and characteristics of a person for him/her to be considered a hero include bravery, courage, strength, mental fortitude, intelligence, patience, altruism, and honesty. These qualities don't form a story on their own. A hero is a person of exceptional courage or ability who is appreciated for their brave actions and excellent traits.  2. Based on the qualities and characteristics you mentioned above, who among the people you know fits into your definition of a Hero? Why do you consider him/her a hero? Based on the qualities and characteristics I mentioned above, among the people, I know who fit into the definition of a hero are my parents. I will consider them heroes because they made me what I am today, and who knows where or who I’d be without them. My parents save my life every day, show me how to act through example, and prepared me for the future. They teach me the values to keep safe. Even though I sometimes hate the advice my parents give me, it always comes in handy when I need help making a hard decision. I have learned things from my parents that will keep me safe throughout my life. 3. If you were to elect another historical figure as our National Hero, who would it be and why? Andres Bonifacio, who showed a natural brilliance and a sense of leadership, would be my choice if I were to choose another historical figure as our national hero. Although he did not complete his education, this did not stop him from becoming the Father of the Philippine Revolution. The example of Bonifacio shows that bravery and a real affection for one's nation are two requirements for patriotism. In order to free us from our Spanish invaders, he also gave his life. Bonifacio is a courageous man. Despite the difficulties he faced, he continued to fight for his nation without ceasing.
