I am a Catholic, a positive representation is its hard to live by but easy to die by. When I say this I mean the catholic life is difficult to live by, and being easy to die by I mean we have the 7 sacraments, riding us of original sin, as well as anointing of the sick, which is riding us of all sin we have not confessed to prior to being sick or before surgery as well as a prayer for a successful healing ,the last rite which in our religion it makes it easy for us to pass over to the other side while being in our death bed. A negative representation would be the pedophilia in the church with priests as well as the other hierarchy. This puts a black spot on all Catholics. My personal experience being baptized and going through the 7 sacraments was not only my pledge to God but it gave me hope for when my time comes that I may see God. The negative is quite clear in this situation. We can only do so much in the catholic church to combat these negative representations, due to the Pope being the head of the church. He handles these situations. We can talk to our local police if it is a problem in our community and they will step in. Which is what has been happening as of late.
