Gerona, , Tarlac SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL DEPARTMENT TRAINING DELIVERY MODULE FOR WORK IMMERSION Based on the guidelines for Work immersion under DepEd Order No. 20 s, 2017, Work Immersion is a hands-on experience or work simulation in partner institutions, business organizations or establishments whose work requirements are related to their specialization. The program aims to develop in students the knowledge and skills that contextualize their specialization exit outcomes and provide students relevant learning experiences by giving them the exposure to the actual workplace setting. To support one of the goals of K to 12 Basic Education Program, which is to develop in the learners the competencies, work ethics and values relevant to pursuing further education and/or joining the world of work, Work Immersion is a required subject. Work Immersion is a course requirement for graduation. A Senior High School student has to undergo Work Immersion in an industry that directly relates to the students’ post secondary goal. Through Work Immersion, the students are exposed to and become familiar with work-related environment related to their field of specialization to enhance their competence Even if we are under the new normal, Work immersion for Senior high schools students is NOT suspended. It still remains as a requirement for graduation . DepEd memorandum No, 00085 issued in June 2020 contains the guidelines for Work Immersion during Crisis. The DepEd memorandum enjoins all schools who offer Senior High school to follow the curriculum guide issued by the department, hence GJC has adapted the following programs COURSE PREFERENCE OF SHS STUDENTS PROGRAM Engineering related, Health allied- related and IT-related Capstone Project Business-related Business Enterprise- C Model- Online selling Military-related-Criminology, Marine transpo “Operation: Makialam sa Barangay Education, Psychology,/HUMSS -health related ,Tourism,culinary Adopt –a-Learner Program GOALS OF WORK IMMERSION The students are expected to: 1. Appreciate the importance and application of the principles and theories in their respective strands 2. Enhance their technical knowledge and skills that are relevant to the needs of the job market 3. Enrich their skills in communications and human relations by giving them exposure to the actual workplace setting; and 4. Develop good work habits, attitudes, appreciation and respect for work 1 B. TRAINING DELIVERY MODEL The school shall offer the minimum number of hours, which is 80 hours as reflected in the Curriculum Guide for Work Immersion as reflected in DepEd Order No. 30 s. 2017 and the Guidelines in Work Immersion During crisis under DM NO. 0085 s. 2020 ACTIVITIES PERSON INVOLVED TIME FRAME PRE-IMMERSION - WORK IMMERSION TEACHER AND STUDENTS 1. 1.
