Guidelines for activity 2; 2 minutes video Objective: to measure students´ ability to describe people and animals by using descriptive adjectives; the comparative form of the adjectives, and vocabulary from unit 2 accurately. Instructions: read carefully this document and take into account the guidelines to carry out this second evaluated activity. This activity will be divided in 2 parts; spoken and written. First part (spoken): Firstly, it is strongly suggested that you record the video by using mp4 format. If for any reason you record the video under a different format, you might have certain difficulties to upload it properly. Therefore, the MP4 format is recommended. In case you have doubts how to convert your video into MP4, the following video-tutorial may be useful: Convertir videos a cualquier formato con format factory. General aspects that will be evaluated.  Quality of the video: record your video in a well properly lit place such as office, study room, meeting room, etc. However, if you decide to record your video in your bedroom, make sure to keep the place clean from any distractor, and keep a professional environment. If possible, use a video-recording camera or cellphone with high camera definition so that your face and additional material can be seen clearly. The additional material can be drawings, pictures, screenshots, power point presentations, etc. Besides, make sure to avoid any type of interruptions when recording your video. Adding to that, make sure to review and revise your work before you upload it into the platform through the homework tool. The video must have both audio and image. Finally, take into account that this activity must last at least 2 minutes, and a maximum of 3 minutes, and it is individually; hence, you are the only one person who is authorized to speak in the video.  Oral Expression: practice the use of descriptive adjectives, and the comparative form for both short and long adjectives. Besides; keep in mind that the evaluation of the oral expression is not limited to use of the comparative form of the adjectives. In fact, all grammatical aspects of the English language will be assessed. The following videos may help you enhance your linguistic competence:  What is an adjective in English? What is a noun? what is the comparative?  How to use comparatives in English? What are comparatives? Comparative adjectives  Pronunciation: practice as many times as necessary to enhance your speech. All the words you use to articulate your sentences will be evaluated. To get the highest score, all words must be pronounced correctly. Read this criterion carefully on the rubric. If you have any questions regarding the pronunciation of any word, make sure you use a dictionary to find the correct pronunciation. When you have found the pronunciation, click on the icon that has the form of a megaphone. It is recommend to look for the US American English pronunciation option.
