Start by doing the self-correcting exercises which you can find in the classroom in the Resources section: Citizen Media: Going viral. You can find the Resources section in the top right corner of the classroom. As you are working through the exercises, take note of any new language you learn. You will need this to prepare the Tasks below. When you have finished, share one thing that you have learnt from these resources (e.g. vocabulary, expressions or grammar) to the I have learnt something today folder in the Forum. 2. Prepare for the Task — writing a story in groups. Task: Group planning and organisation Where: Discussion area in the Group work space. 1. Look at the images in the Appendix and decide which one your group is going to base its story on. 2. Think of a title for your story. 3. Choose a spokesperson for your group. This role will be taken by a different group member in each CA involving group work. The spokesperson should organize the group’s work in the following stages: Group work document ● Go into the Classroom Drive Folder and create a folder named Group Name + CollaborativeWork_20202, e.g., Sherlock_CollaborativeWork_20202. ● Inside your group folder, create a subfolder named CA3. ● Open a Google doc inside the CA3 folder named Group story and copy/paste a link in your Work Group area. ● Tell the teacher when the first draft of your group story is finished. Group website (after feedback from teacher) ● Inside your Group Folder in the Classroom Drive Folder, set up a website using Google Sites.* This is where your group will publish the final version of its story.
