Natalia Ayús Petro THE STRANGE IN MYSELF INTRODUCTION: The stranger in me" tells the story of Vania de La Roche, an adolescent girl who, from the age of 8 years old, holds the hand of a dark woman who is determined to eliminate her story. Vania suffers from the age of 8 from severe depression with emotional affective disorder. Once again we are face to face with a real life case, which is surely repeated behind more doors than we think, and which is persistently lurking. The stranger in me" is a book that makes an impact, that takes risks and is not afraid to show things as they are. A world of reflections and mirrors quite necessary for an increasingly lost society. The assertion of a creator with a deep voice and with much to say. THE STRANGER IN ME: The book La Extraña en mi, is composed of ten chapters, each separated by an epigraph. "In the first chapter, the protagonist, Vania, is introduced and her family is also introduced. She relates what was the reason that led her to extreme depression. She tells why she was distant from her sister, how she felt at school and the confrontations she had with her mother. In the second chapter, Vania recounts the times when her family was united and happy until the love between her parents cracked and this led her father to look for another woman. In the third, the protagonist begins to constantly use social networks to recount her episodes of sadness. As a result, she meets her "virtual beloved”. To the point of falling into anorexia. "The protagonist changes schools looking for a quiet life, but there she meets someone she did not expect (Mariana Riveros). She also met the second man who made her feel thousands of things and led her to experience physical attraction. In the fifth chapter, Vania lets herself be carried away by Tácitas (her virtual lover) to the point of falling into anorexia, another situation that led her to confront her father and to have another crisis that sent her to a nursing home. In the sixth chapter, Vania feels more guilty than ever for the harm she caused to one of her friends (Caro!) while celebrating her birthday. This is one of the saddest chapters of the story because it is where the death of her grandmother is revealed. In the seventh, the relationship between Vania and her family tends to improve as the days go by. She met a man who aroused her sympathy and with whom she irresponsibly lost her virginity on the second outing. In the eighth chapter, Vanya makes another attempt on her life. But the time comes to reflect on everything she has done. In the ninth chapter, the protagonist, after seeing her manna suffer for her fault, understood that she needed help and so she voluntarily went to the homeopathic clinic where she met her great love (Nicolás), who helped
