But adult learning is a private determination from which we can derive many personal satisfactions. The joy of adult learning is that, what you think you have lost is easily replaced by the satisfaction of what you are going to gain. In some ways, age is a positive plus because you have learnt to think independently and flexibly, and you are better at relating one thing to another. Experience has told you that if you are calm, and simply do something again and again you will eventually understand and so, learn.
