Healthy lifestyle is defined as the way which a person take care physically and mentally sound, normally lowers the possibility of an individual falling sick or even dying early. Nowadays having a healthy lifestyle is an obligation when it should be a necessity. Many people are forced to lead a healthy life by early diagnosis of disease or obesity. People do not realize this until the face some problem. Everyone irrespective of age groups should strive to maintain a proper and healthy lifestyle, if we take a look to the past, people used to live longer because they led a healthy lifestyle, kept in constant motion and enjoyed healthier meals, but now life expectancy is short compared to centuries ago. Modern man cares less about his life and led a sedentary life, slaves to a routine, without any physical activity or sport, this added to poor nutrition and bad habits, results in diseases and a short life. Modern people are leading a sedentary lifestyle. This situation is becoming a significant public health problem worldwide. this lifestyle affects both adults and young people. World health Organization, (2020) based on the stadistics, globally, 28% of adults aged 18 and over were not active enough in 2016 (men 23% and women 32%). This means they do not meet the global recommendations of at least 150 minutes of moderate- 2 intensity, or 75 minutes vigorous-intensity physical activity per week. Sedentary lifestyle does not seem to matter to people until they face illness or death. Doctors and health authorities are the ones who are most concerned about the population and their health. World Health Organization, (2020) “Physical inactivity is one of the leading risk factors for noncommunicable diseases mortality. People who are insufficiently active have a 20% to 30% increased risks of death compared to people who are sufficiently active” By looking these this information from the prestigious and recognized World Health Organization, we can say that modern people are leading a sedentary lifestyle globally, a problem that affects all types of people, who do not lead a physically active life. Physical activity is an important determinant of health. Our body becomes more resistant less vulnerable to infection and other types of diseases, and also improves the ability to do physical exertion, maintaining vitality and reinforcing agility in the elderly. According to Dr. Ossa (2014) Physical activity reduce ricks of chronic conditions like type 2 diabetes, heart disease, many types of cancer, depression and anxiety, and dementia (p.4). In this modern day many technological advances and conveniences have made our life easier and less active. World Health Organization (2020) said that there are Popular ways to be active include walking, cycling, wheeling, sports, active recreation play, and can be done at any level of skill and for enjoyment by everybody. But in these fast paced life, people hardly incorporate physical activity in their daily routine. Non communicable diseases accompanied with poor nutrition and bad habits, have resulted in an increment of inactive people in the world
