For much of the 20th century, the United States and the Soviet Union indirectly fought proxy wars, the arms race, and the space race, thus giving rise to a period known as the Cold War, which ultimately ended with the demise of the bloc communist. Some time later, a global society or village appeared, also called globalization, whose beginning is located with the end of the Cold War, when the Soviet Union and the communist bloc that it headed disappeared. Globalization is a historical process of global integration in the economic, political, technological, social and cultural fields, which has made the world an increasingly interconnected place. These two historical events have a certain relationship with each other, that is, the connection between the influence that globalization had on the end of communism and the influence that the end of communism had on globalization. The Soviet Union collapsed due to the system's inability to adapt to the changes caused by economic globalization, liberalism, and nationalism, thus leading to the end of communism with Gorbachev. And in turn, due to communism The Soviet economy stagnated. There were no technological advances or innovations, so this created a technology gap. This lack of control over a global economy is one of the challenges that States must face in the face of globalization. That is why communism failed due to the forces of globalization.
